The person behind the colonies
Pedro — connected to the bees
I'm Pedro Manuel Montes Miralpeix, born in La Garriga and a beekeeper for over 30 years. I observe how bees behave, understand their life cycle and love sharing this knowledge with others.

Beekeeper, educator and yoga teacher
My work is varied: I look after bee colonies, produce and sell honey and other hive products, and show children and adults how fascinating the life of bees is. Alongside beekeeping, I work as a yoga teacher. A connection with nature and an attentive attitude shape my everyday life.
Decades in the beekeeping community
For more than two decades I have belonged to a beekeepers' association in Barcelona, and for around 15 years I have been involved in an association for ecological beekeeping. Exchanging ideas with other beekeepers is as much part of my work as caring for my colonies.
How a passion became a shared project
Pedro loved working with his bees long before it became his profession. Even with only a few colonies, he cared for each one with devotion.
Pedro and Mesrop Yaghubian share a long friendship. In 2015 the idea arose to turn Pedro's experience and passion into a professional future of its own.
In Switzerland too, together with Mesrop
For eight years Pedro has also been selling his honey in Switzerland, together with Mesrop. Mesrop helps him there with organisation, sales and customer contact — and when time allows, he lends a hand at the apiaries too.

What guides us
The bees' wellbeing comes first
Honey is above all food for the bees. That is why we only harvest the surplus the colony does not need.
Traditional beekeeping craft
We want to know our colonies, understand their differences and respond to change with experience.
In harmony with nature
We prefer sites with a varied flora and respect the natural rhythm of the colonies.
Our own young colonies
We raise new colonies from our own strong hives and, where possible, let them rear new queens naturally.
Experience I'm happy to share
From honey and comb honey to school visits, swarm help, private beekeeping or pollination: if you have questions about bees or need support, get in touch. We'll discuss what's possible.
